An update on the arbitrator’s ruling on the question of pay equity
Today, Arbitrator Maureen Flynn released her ruling on the question of pay equity between Canada Post’s rural and suburban mail carriers and urban delivery agents.
In her ruling, which you will find below, Arbitrator Flynn has indicated there is more work to do. She has instructed both parties to sit down over the next 90 days, using her guidance, to reach an agreement on the matter.
As you can read in the letter from Jessica L. McDonald, Canada Post’s Chair of the Board of Directors and Interim President and CEO, the Corporation is committed to acting swiftly and diligently with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers to find a meaningful resolution.
We regret that the ruling was provided to the parties in English only. It is being translated and a French version will be posted as soon as it is available.
