Parties exchange positions on one another’s proposals

2017/05/19

Through two days of meetings this week, negotiators from Canada Post and the Public Service Alliance of Canada/Union of Postal Communications Employees (PSAC/UPCE) exchanged positions on one another’s proposals.

The parties are not scheduled to meet again until July, with additional dates in the fall.

The Corporation remains available to meet at any time to ensure we reach a negotiated settlement. We are prepared to negotiate wage and benefit increases and eager to secure a four-year collective agreement that is fair for employees while meeting our business challenges and the needs of our customers.

The collective agreement expired on August 31, 2016 but will continue to apply as per the terms of the Canada Labour Code.

We will continue to keep you informed of key developments through your team leaders and head office communications.
