Canada Post and APOC finalize new collective agreement

A joint message from Canada Post and the Association of Postal Officials of Canada
Canada Post and the Association of Postal Officials of Canada (APOC) have finalized a new collective agreement. It will be in effect until March 31, 2030.
In a ratification vote held between August 30 and September 21, 2026, APOC-represented employees voted to accept the agreement. It follows months of respectful, collaborative negotiation and supports the long-term sustainability of the company.
The agreement includes a five-year package of wage increases, an evening and night shift premium increase; improvements to leave, as well as many other items that were mutually important to the parties.
Next steps
Both parties will meet on October 18, 2026, to sign the agreement. Once signing is complete, the new agreement comes into effect. The majority of the agreement will apply retroactively, from March 31, 2025, which is when the previous agreement expired.
