Canada Post has presented final offers for employees represented by CUPW.
The offers for the Urban and RSMC bargaining units protect what’s most important to employees while making important enhancements that build on the company’s most recent offers. The final offers also act on the recommendations of the Industrial Inquiry Commission (IIC) with much-needed changes to the company’s delivery model.
Enhanced final offers
Our final offers maintain our proposals made in the global offers on May 21, with enhancements. For employees in the RSMC bargaining unit, that means:
- Employees will receive a signing bonus ($1,000 for employees with 6 or more scheduled hours per day; $500 for all others, including OCREs)
- COLA payments would be triggered at a lower threshold (7.16% instead of 13.59%) to provide better inflation protection from February 2025 to January 2028
Advancing the negotiations
After almost two years of negotiations, a lengthy strike, an intensive review by the IIC, and now the resumption of strike activity, the Corporation’s final offers are designed to move negotiations forward and return certainty and stability to Canada Post, its employees and Canadians.

Let us vote. This is our livelihood and our lives you’re playing with. Time to take the deal and go back to enjoying our work. Customers assume it’s us whennwe can’t even vote on it
Come on CUPW, put your huge egos aside and for once listen to your members. You haven’t successfully negotiated a contract in a decade plus and lo and behold looks like you’re failing again. You do not have member support. We want this offer, take the deal.
It seems many CUPW members have lost total support for their union. They want the world, while you each suffer with less and less business. The union is actually the primary reason the business is dying, and how the competition is taking away so much traditional Canada Post business. Union membership again is pushing for more and more, knowing that is the very thing that leads to less and less. The union cycle of need.
Exactly. Well said
Time to settle this. It will go to binding arbitration and we’ll lose everything. It’s not about the negotiators,it’s about all of us that have mortgages, etc. Settle now!!
You actually can’t the union only post what they do not agree with and canada post only posts the good stufff
A union that ignores its members has no right to exist.
It’s time for you to step down!!
I don’t want to pay union dues for a union like this.”
Agreed, well said…
Accept offer now!
vote, vote, vote.
Time to get fire the top people.. if they managed any other company they would have been gone the first year..
The corporation needs to bring it to the members to vote, PLEASe!!
Cupw needs to be dismantled! They flat out rejected the offer! What do they want? Arbitration? Lockout? Strike? None of these will end up better then the current offer. Enough already!!
where can I find the RSMC offer in its entirety
it is literally linked above where you commented.
You actually can’t the union only post what they do not agree with and canada post only posts the good stufff
You need to start listen to your members and let us vote on this final offer
You need to start listening to your members, we want to vote on this offer
It is time to put an end of a few stubborn union heads making decisions for us 55,000 employees! It’s our right to vote, so get to it CUPW.
Take the deal CUPW
Please please accept this offer!! I cannot handle the stress mentally and financially this is putting on me.
I always thought paying union dues was for someone to get things straightened out and we get to vote for or against. Beings that we seem to have to right to accept our offer, maybe we should be allowed to stop paying union due. If we continue this scraping, we’ll all be looking for new jobs
The union is already warning us about crossing picket lines…I wonder is a mutiny is coming
Who is going to listen union any more, we have to vote for collective agreement and get rid of union, they act as our enemy of workers.
If CUPW doesn’t accept this one, time to decertify
100% acceptable offer otherwise wait to be 51 states with nothing
Agreed 💯%, 💯% of workers are for this Canada Post offer.
Vote, vote, vote….its our right as members!!!!
Please let the members vote on this offer!!
I vote accept it as well. We need to keep working and we need to keep our customers and build on that.
CUPW, please be smart and accept the offer, we are already exhausted physically, mentally and financially from such a long process, please give us break, let us work and remove additional burden from our shoulders and minds.
Please god accept the offer. CUPW, please do the right thing…
I agree!! At least put it to a vote!
