Negotiations begin for Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers

November 9 2023, 04:19 pm

Canada Post has received notices to bargain from the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW). This official step begins the negotiations process for new collective agreements.

Canada Post’s two collective agreements with CUPW are set to expire on December 31, 2023 (RSMC) and January 31, 2024 (Urban). If negotiations extend past these dates, the existing collective agreements will continue to apply for CUPW-represented employees.

Throughout the negotiations process, operations will continue as usual for you and your colleagues.

Keeping you informed

We’ll keep CUPW-represented employees informed in two main ways:

  1. Mailings to your home: Look for mailings to your home, which will tell you about any important developments.
  2. Negotiations Hub: The Negotiations Hub will be your main source for news and information. Once comments are opened, you’ll be able to comment on posts anonymously or using your name, without the need to log in.

Throughout this process, we’re committed to keeping all CUPW-represented employees informed while working towards positive outcomes for everyone.
