CUPW negotiations: Understanding the offer

Employees represented by CUPW understandably want to learn about the final offer they will vote on for their bargaining unit.
Details about how and when to vote will be determined by the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB). In the meantime, Canada Post is working to ensure employees have the information they need to make an informed choice when it comes time to vote.
New information added to the offers website
As part of our commitment to transparency with employees about what they’re voting on, we’ve published the full contractual language of the offer presented to CUPW for the RSMC bargaining unit.
About the vote
The vote will be conducted by the CIRB, which has published the Minister’s directive to the CIRB to hold the vote. We will share information about when and how to vote as soon as it’s available.
Employees in the RSMC bargaining unit will vote on the Corporation’s offer to RSMC employees; and employees in the Urban bargaining unit will vote on the offer to Urban employees. If a majority of employees who vote accept the offer, it will become the collective agreement for that unit.

The offer is acceptable to me. Along with many of my coworkers, I will be voting yes. And listen up Cupw, quit trying to tell us all what to vote! We, the members of this union have the right to choose yes or no so quit harrasing us !
Voting NO! New employees should not have to start (or as OCREs stay) at 80% of a route.
I am not selling out current or further CUPW members!
Get real! Almost every other employer out there starts off new hires at a lower wage than long term experienced workers. Is it worth risking the job security of all us employees for ? I think not. We already earn a really good wage and have a pension and good benefits that most working people dont have. I am willing to accept the offer even for a drop in pay as long as I have some job security.
Rob of coarse your voting YES you also can you forward the offer given to make your decision? Most of us don’t have the 15 pages. Canada Post mailed a lot but not this ?
Canada post give us the information mailings should be fast with the amount of mail in the system
Canada Post should print off the offers so that the employees can read (paper copies) them without getting migraines or worse seizures from the flickering screens. This is a health and safety issue to read over 15 pages on these screens. And the employee should not have to use their own paper and ink to make an informed decision on how to vote on this offer. So please print these offer off and get to the employees of Canada Post ASAP, please.
Ask CUPW to print it for you.
Exactly….not cpc responsibility to give something you pay the union for…
I cant wait for this to be over and have a contract again.
It’s been far to long.
Voting yes
