End this nonsense and negotiate a fair collective agreement!
RSMCs have finally been unionized and are no longer contract workers after decades of cpc abuse. Since a large portion of your workforce was female you were finally awarded equal pay of the Urban unit. There sounds like still a few kinks in the equality of it all but by and by you have made great progress in the last 20 years. Vote NO or take 3 steps backwards in your struggle with CPC. Do not allow cpc to dictate the bargaining process. You will lose all control of your future to a company that sees you as a liability already.
vote yes , so we can put that behind us , then cupw can work for another 4 years to get a new contract … 2 years and nothing happen ,,wow both party work very hard every day to get a new contract lol, what happen in the last 2 years you got cupw rep that negotiate at a good salary i am sure and same with canada post and nothing happen incredible ,,
CUPW is Canada Post undertaker
We need to be allowed to see the entire final offer agreement before we vote. We need to be able to look at everything ourselves and make our own decision.
Also our local (Calgary 710) told us that if we vote NO we will automatically and immediately go to arbitration. I don’t think that is true.
There is a lot of mistrust towards both the employer and the union so we really need to see the entire final offer well before we are voting.
The truth is CUPW has no idea if wr would enter arbitration right away with a ‘no’ vote or what type of arbitration it would be. A ‘no’ vote could very likely result in an immediate lock-out. But the full offer is available on intrapost to view right now.
Do you have any idea how bad it would look on Canada post if we voted “NO” and then they retaliate with a lock out.
Okay then, using your logic it can’t possibly happen, because it might look ‘bad’. I’ll try not to hold my breath Lol.
We all need to vote NO. CP is playing a game with our future! Atleast if we vote NO it will go to arbitration and we will NOT get f-d as much as if we votes yes. My opinion you are throwing away your pension, route ownership, security, etc, etc…..no matter if you RSMC or Urban if you vote the way the Government/Canada Post wants us too.
Ive had a very open mind to all of this, but the more actuall info im getting and reading that whole collecyive agreement im swaying towards NO. You are right, they will have to go to binding arbitration. CP is not going to fold, we would be the only country in the world without a postal service. If CP wasnt scared they would have already agreed to binding arbitration like our union did
voting yes, I don’t walk in lockstep with the union
Same here. Yes vote
That’s just more gloom and doom from CUPW. None of the things you mentioned are in the offer from Canada Post. We also habe no idea if arbitration will result in a better deal, what type of arbitration it will be , or how long arbitration will take. Not to mention the very likely chance that a ‘no’ vote will result in an immediate lock-out.
If this vote goes through we will never again have bargaining power. CPC will have no reason to negotiate if the government will assist them in dictating the bargaining process therefore he/she is absolutely correct. We will eventually lose everything.
Vote NO.
Vote No go find another job, Arbitration is worse if you’ve never been through it before.. Be grateful CPC hasn’t Privatized yet, but CUPW is pushing it to, so if you’re not happy here leave, alot of people waiting and looking for a job to replace you just to work..
Been through arbitration about a decade ago. We got the best contract gains in the last 25 years. Not sure who you are trying to fool. The like it or leave attitude makes you sound like supervision. Way to bully soup. Good job.
We’re voting YES to work, go find another job since you think you know better.. RSMCS were better off without CUPW
I was going to vote no till today. Canada post is run by a bunch of money hungry top management that should be put in jail along with some of the greedy politicians. Saying parcel volumes are declining. If you try to order a parcel on Amazon lately they make you change your address so puralator will deliver. Then when you get your parcel it is marked as puralator and it is delivered in a van full of people from India I counted at least 3 in the van. Get out throws on my deck bouncing a few times then takes picture from my driveway. Canada post has turned puralator into their scab factory shame on the teamsters.
How is this the unions fault? I dont get it. You blame CP plus politicians but say shame on the union, pls explain
teamsters which is a union is allowing scabs to deliver for them canada post and politicians will do same to them when it’s their turn to sign their contract. I don’t understand how you are confused by that?
Thsnk you, i get what your saying now. I did not know that they represent Purolater
There is a new anti scab law in Canada starting June 20th. The company would be fined $100,000 a day I believe for such actions if they were caught. DHL had to stop using scabs and start negotiations. The workers got 15.75% over a 4 year contract. Google it.
yes
This does not work.
email updated, ready to vote yes
finally I get to exercise
my right to vote
