July 2, 2025, 04:44 pm 246 comments

Canada Post is providing employees with the information they need to make an informed choice when it comes time to vote on the company’s final offers to CUPW.

New information on the offers website

We’ve added new information to the offers site at canadapost.ca/offers:

Fact sheet on total compensation and benefits (Urban):

  • Employees will receive wage increases each year and also receive a signing bonus.
    • 6% wage increase in year one (including the 5% paid in December 2024), 3% in year two, and 2% in each of years three and four.
    • $1,000 signing bonus for full-time employees and $500 for all other employees, including temporary employees.
  • Leave, pension, health benefits and post-retirement benefits won’t change for current employees – and regular employees will continue to benefit from industry-leading job security.
  • Cost-of-living allowance (COLA) payments will be triggered if inflation exceeds a set threshold, giving greater income protection against inflation.

Video on part-time delivery support:

  • Watch a video with three key facts to help you understand the two new types of roles – Parcel Delivery Part Time employees and Part Time Flex employees.
  • You can also read our fact sheet on part-time delivery support.

About the vote

As a CUPW-represented employee, you will have the opportunity to vote on the offer for your bargaining unit. If approved, the offer would become your new collective agreement.

This comes after a year and a half of discussions with CUPW, the assistance of established mediators, four global offers and an Industrial Inquiry Commission hearing and report. This vote gives employees the opportunity to have a voice, especially as we begin to implement needed changes for the postal system.

The vote will be conducted by the Canada Industrial Relations Board. We will share information about when and how to vote as soon as it’s available.

  • Enough is enough

Thank you Canada Post for creating this platform in order to ensure CUPW-represented employees have the information they need to make an informed choice when it comes time to vote. Thank you for protecting your employees from Union’s dominance and control and letting them have an opportunity of such free-choice vote.

  • Lazy worker and proud of it!

I am willing to be adopted by any executives at Cpc and or Cupw in order that I don’t have to work and go on vacations just like executives.

  • Boo boo boo whimy Cupw crying to everyone cause they can’t control the members anymore. What will Cupw do now. Go to Cuba!

  • Enough is enough

The union screwed up back in 2022 and forgets the fact that if they negotiated a better deal for us in 2022 that maybe we wouldn’t have needed to go on strike in 2024.

Now, with Canada’s difficult economic situation, budget deficit, tariffs,
MASSIVE cuts that are coming to the public service, AND Canada Post financial situation –

There’s NO WAY arbitration board will skip the Industrial Inquiry Commission Kaplan’s insolvency report when taking its decision on the current CPC vs CUPW case. Those voting “no” – be ready and proud for a worse deal in arbitration.

  • Overworked p04

The other night I worked an hour of my 8 hr shift. The other 7 hrs I stood around thinking about what to write in this comment section.

  • Here they come again! The cupw trolls are here! They must have read the latest cupw post on their website about how THIS platform is oh so unfair. Boo hoo! Heres a tissue for all your tears. Cupw is unhappy with this platform as they fear members voicing their opinions is under minding them. Waaaaaahh! They want the cirb to stop it, or give them a voice here. Well, cupw you could solve the problem yourselves. Open up a comment section on your website so members can post there. But.. youll never do that now, will you. You want all the voice, all the control and basically have the members keep quiet. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!

  • This is the only place I’ve worked at. Where the union tells the corporation how to run its business. And in the meantime, the union can’t even run its own business…

  • It was the government that went to the Canadian industrial relation board, and it’s the same government. That’s going to hire an arbitrator so how do you think an arbitrator is going to give you more? When the government controlling people Canada post and the arbitrator the offer is the offer. I would suggest that you take it. There’s nothing better on the horizon. All these comments popping up are nothing more than neb. Trying to persuade you know not to vote. Yes, my vote most definitely will be yes

  • The corporation and union need to stop fighting and acknowledge the reality of the situation. We all want jobs and paychecks, but CP currently operates under an unsustainable business model in a competitive marketplace, often shifting blame onto the union for its own failures to innovate. CP’s carbon footprint is excessively high, as we deal with paper, fuel, and declining parcel volumes. A significant portion of what we deliver is essentially waste—flyers and bank statements—that could easily be digitized. Meaningful letter mail is at an all-time low, and parcel delivery is increasingly outsourced.

CP must embrace creativity to modernize its business practices for the 21st century. There is a pressing need to increase parcel volumes and focus on essential deliverables like medicines and food—items that people need daily.

No one else has the delivery infrastructure that CP possesses; it is frustrating to watch competitors thrive on business that CP could harness. The industry is fiercely competitive, and yet CP is adapting as if it were a dinosaur. There is skepticism about any significant change occurring, as the current leadership at CP is adept at losing business while struggling to innovate. Meanwhile, the union seems to focus primarily on complaints.

What we truly need is better leadership—both corporate and union—so that we can capitalize on the growing delivery market instead of continually labouring in vain.

  • I’m just curious if a No vote wins it’s guaranteed to be sent to arbitration and not doors locked and bankruptcy filed?

    • If no vote I think we will get locked out and legislated back with a worse contract like 2011.

      • Fan of The Champ

Stop making sense Champ. The NEB has got Cpc where they want them. Postal banking, senior check ins and safe injection sites at depot lunch rooms

  • There is no reason to vote yes. This company is a disaster. We need some major change at the top.

  • Explanation Needed

    I would like someone to honestly explain, without calling people names, why I should vote yes on a plan to cut jobs, wages and my pension. Canada Post has outlined their plans on page 48 and 49 here;
    https://infopost.ca/wp-c/u/2025/02/iic_cpc_feb14-e.pdf
A yes vote gives Canada Post all they need to put these measures into place. Why would anyone vote for that? I get people are upset with our union representation, I am as well, but a yes vote pretty much destroys this union, making it so much easier for layoffs, firings, less pay, less benefits, higher pension costs. Plus, Canada Post will never negotiate another contract because they will have proof that if the government forces a vote, they’d win…so why bother negotiating??
A no vote will not close down Canada Post. In fact, it will force them to negotiate because the government will know where the workers stand. We will all still have jobs because of our job protections gained by our union.
By the way, I don’t know anybody that doesn’t agree with expanding our delivery to nights and weekends. The problem is how CP wants to do it, opening the door for us to be just another Amazon. I don’t want to work for Amazon. I want to work for our National Postal System because I’m very proud to do so!

    • If your proud of it, vote yes because if u vote no, you night as well kiss your job and pension good bye

    • So true. This is why a No vote is necessary.

    • Well worded and well thought out post. You hit every nail on the head and pointed out exactly why this offer deserves and screams nothing other than a NO vote hopefully from as many as possible

    • You’re a current employee so your job wage and pension are not being cut, there’s definitely changes and it’s the first time ever the company has made changes so it can be scary oh wait….

    • Pretend you run a company in an ultra competitive market and your bleeding money due to the CBA you have with your employees
      What’s your solution?

    • Many of us think that is exactly what we need to do – destroy the union. A YES vote would allow us to decertify them and get proper representation from a third party, more professional union. A union that is able to negotiate with the employer. That is what we need. Getting rid of CUPW does not mean getting rid of a union, just this ineffective union that we are now saddled with. Then we might also be able to get our best people involved as shop stewards, etc and let the professionals look after the more important, complicated issues. As it stands now, our best workers do not want to get involved with the union because it is not focused on what the employees want and need. You have to be a militant social warrior or they don’t want you there. We all know this to be true, many of you are scared to admit it.

    • Hear hear!

  • It is nice to see the IT dept is from the same area of the world all the new hires are as well and continue to botch another facet of our operation.

  • The truth is if the vote is majority yes, management will get a big bonus, if the vote is majority no management will get a smaller bonus. That the way it is since we been became a crown corporation!

  • Not good enough. Still voting no.

  • How much of a bonus do they get for the new SAP rollout?

In this company, when you fail you get rewarded.

Does anyone have any idea of what the business plan is yet?

    • Don’t forget get the nepotism where friend and family members are hired due to kinship get preferential treatment for relatives who work as soups and managers?
Most of these bias hires are usually the lazy ones you see get away with so much by doing anything except boost management family members.
I would not be surprised if the people voting yes are related management.
Hence, ignore the people claiming to vote yes.
They are only voting yes to help protect their cushy jobs.
      Just VOTE NO.

    • When you fail you get rewarded

Yeah, like working 4 hours and getting paid 8.

      • Those scammers don’t want to hear the truth.. Just imagine if they actually worked 8 hours a day, imagine the complaining

        • First cuts will be management. Look around to UPS, Microsoft, Meta.

          They CUT management… bye bye

          Voting NO

        • Yes that seems to be the main reason people are against this offer, and I’m an LC. The horror of having to work 8 hours, oh no. Not to mention the fact that inside workers have always worked 8 hours. The hilarious thing is; people think voting ‘no’ will make things like SSD, dynamic routing etc. just magically disappear. Dream on CULTW groupies, change is coming and you can’t stop it Lol.

        • Yeah, those people are called soups!

  • Not good enough.
CPC doesn’t hide its attempt to ruin the business by driving away customers with the diminishing services and corporate greed by handing out big bonuses to underperforming executives and managers.
Instead of increasing the number of parcels and mail, they are more concerned about cutting hours and reducing injury reports.
Hence, I will be voting no until they can guarantee Canada Post will improve our pay to match the increasing cost of living and get rid of all these job accommodations to some of the lazy and useless postal workers.

    • You could get paid more for being a great and motivated employee, but that’s not how union life works. You all get to the same level no matter how hard or little you work. This is the system that is going nowhere fast

    • 👏👏👍👍

    • Definitely voting no. There’s no accountability in the CPC executive, nor in management. 7 consecutive years of losses totalling over 4 billion dollars, and they still have their jobs with bonuses!

      • Here here!
The only way you get anyone to vote yes is if CPC takes accountability by fires their decision makers, executives and management.
The person they should fire at the moment is their CEO/president.
I can see the NOs winning this due vote.

      • You might be right. LCs working 4 hours a day getting paid 8. Then getting paid OT. All within 8 hours. Maybe a clean sweep is needed.

        • No one is working 4 hours….
But senior management is intentionally tanking the business while shuttering parcels to Purolator.

        • That’s you’re responsibility boss, your the one with the power to put an end to that!

    • What’s the best and most efficient way for them to increase our pay

  • We’ve come this far we might as well take it to the end… No vote

  • I would vote no, however considering the financial situation I will be voting yes so, I can continue to pay my Morgage.

    • And you will be continuing to take less every contract going forward, because you need to pay your bills. The cuts you accept today will compound into the future in perpetuity. Make the sacrifices today for a better tomorrow.

      • Vote YES today and have a future. Vote NO and its THE END.

        • Keep drinking CPC management’s fear mongering kool-aid. Management will sink the corporation, even if you vote yes.

      • Yes most people want to pay their bills instead of going down with a sinking ship.Future? What future? CULTW ruined that for us this time.Hmmmm wonder if theyll help pay our bills?!

        • LOL! It was CPC management that has ruined this corporation, starting back in 2018!

          • Just my Experience

CUPW has been running this house for years. That’s why we are in this mess.

        • CUPW will watch everyone suffer, they take not give.. Like they’ve ruined Canadians Christmas and helped us lose 5 weeks of pay as well..

      • There are no cuts. What are you getting cut with this contract?

      • Well we’re actually getting a raise. It’s 13.5% but is more money now less money? Must be CUPW math.

      • Is that what has been happening all along? Is that why we are in the current situation. Is this the better tomorrow people sacrificed for? Now go ahead and tell me about how it was the sacrifices of past employees that got us to where we are. As if there is no other path.

  • Only the lazy whinny employees want to vote no and we all know them they are in every station

  • No vote , Cpc needs to stop giving bonuses to their Supervisors , and Directors and stop all the ordering food in when Supervisors have a meeting, waste of money .

    • Yeah, lucky them! We have a meeting with CUPW we might get a whistle or a button! Not even a glass of kool aid!

    • Nobody is getting food paid for unless they are doing it themselves. The bonus is a bargained benefit, you know, the kind of thing you didn’t bother going for. Why do people get the bonus of flyer pay and nobody else does?

      • Then management is the primary problem to our financial woes. They allow contracts where they get rewarded for sinking the corporation.

        • Not LCs working 4 hours a day, getting paid 8? Then OT on top, all within 8 hours?

          • Another boss claiming they have zero responsibility! The fact is your the one encouraging LC to rush and cut corners, by closing your eyes to the bad work ethic of LC!

        • Union is responsible for fake strike talks because they’re broke.. CPC pays us, CUPW steals from us and spends over $300 million dollars every 4 years, where’s the money gone…?

      • Because we deliver them ! Seriously?

      • You mean the flyers we deliver that we are paid? Seriously boss the bonuses cost us millions and now we are told we are going bankrupt, and you are proud to tell us it’s in your contract, so it will continue?

  • CUPW has killed the goose that lays golden eggs Letters. Its just a matter of time. A yes vote will give us more time. A no vote and its lights out.

    • Bingo, lights out if they want to lose their jobs..

      • No one will lose their jobs. Maybe CPC will actually negotiate.

        • Ok keep telling yourself that! There will be job loss there’s no getting around it unfortunately in today’s day and age.Everywhere has suffered job loss, technology did it

          • Yup. Usually management jobs are first to go…

          • They have skills that are useful elsewhere though. What’s it you do?

          • CPC management skills consist of targeting and harassing employees, and not much else. Those skills aren’t of much value elsewhere.

          • More value than having what amounts to an entry level job as a career. Where does someone go from there?

      • Forget golden eggs That goose has only been laying turds for some time now directly on employees. Big NO

    • A yes vote buys nothing but a crappy contract. It is CPC management that is killing the goose. Now they want the employees to make sacrifices to cover their incompetence, so they can continue to ruin the corporation. Vote no to hold them accountable.

      • The only thing you’ll get from a No vote is union crying when we lose what we got offered for less.. It’s happened in 2011 if you’re that smart, which clearly you believe CUPW which shows you’re not to bright..😂 Voting YES and you can go get a job at McDonald’s

  • Waste of a vote. We voted 95% to strike. Common sense tells anyone it’s gonna be a hard NO vote. But here we are. Peace n love.

    • 95% of what?? The 5,000 people who went to vote.
There will be much higher turnout this time and the union isn’t counting them in backroom

    • What’s your reasoning?95 %of membership who voted for a strke mandate which is always minimal as opposed to an almost 100% of membership that will vote this time? You cannot reach that conclusion

    • 95% of the membership or 95% of the members who CUPW allowed to vote?

    • If you really believe that I don’t know what to tell you.
This will be a properly run, fair and democratic voting process. I think CULTW is in for a shock

    • If you think it’s a ‘waste’ to vote, don’t vote. If you think it’s going to be 95% ‘no’, I think you’ll be in for a surprise. Let’s hope those who want to vote can vote soon.

  • Real Husband of Canada Post

My wife told me if I vote NO, she’d leave me. She also told me if I vote YES she’d leave me. Merry Christmas to me. Woo!

  • If I become president of Cupw and Cpc does that mean I get bonuses from both sides and free trips ? When can I start?

    • Free trips from CUPW regardless and free Buffet’s for life.. Union has better perks because they’ve been giving themselves endless Bonuses, CPC has to borrow money so that party is slowly over.. CUPW is cash for life, and trips for life..

    • Management Five-O

No, only from CPC management side. Free trips to Hawaii on corporation dime!

  • You have to think hard for yourself. Going on strike and loosing over $7,000.00. What percentage will it take to get that money back. Answer, you never will. What percentage we get has completely gone. $1000 converted to percentage boost the 14% higher. This is not the 70’s 80 90 2000 2010 2020. Its 2025 high cost of living, Tariffs. Lost money just be fore Christmas and possibly just before House Taxes. Who thinking about me.

    • Yes let’s bring in more machines tho we all know how the plant workers love to work in automation

      • hate tell you automation cane long time ago. FSM machine belts etc. then in the stations group 2 got lots of group 1 work. all that matters is letter carriers who cares about the other

    • Enough with the be thankful or what you have give it a rest

    • You’re thinking too short term. Every percentage we gain today compounds into future contracts for tomorrow. Example: a 10% increase this contract will carry over to next contract. If the next contract is 10% increase, you will be ahead 21% from today. Give in to 5% increase this contract, you’ll end up with only have 15.5%, even with 10% on the next contract. It gets even worse the following contract. 33.1% vs 27%.

  • First of all what grinds my gears is Canada Post comes to the table with offers when we are already over 1 year and half in how about fire these negotiators and come up with this i don’t know say 1 year earlier like this is the best you can do for over 1 year of negotiating are you Fing serious. Also how does a CEO still have a job after lossing 1 billion $ how about firing that CEO and put a fish to do his job for free well you have to pay for the fish tank basically they both can do the same job and lose 1 billion $ at least the fish will cost you cheaper. If you want to fix CP I’ll fix that place in 1 year to 2 years and it would be creating a profit. It’s called think outside the box sometimes. I’ll give you 3 ideas 1. Stop paying CEOs and management super high salaries when the company runs itself 2. Stop paying 3xs more for materials bought by CP by their distributors that they know i wonder if theres any kickbacks for that lol and actually shop around for a better price and 3. Introduce a 75$ charge for every address that owners need to pay at the end of the year like a school tax not rocket science. Calculations 32 million addresses on the safe side X 75$ = 2.4 billion $ already a profit look at that. Also not hard to pass that hey if pay school taxes and have no kids so 75$ to a owner is not much its a Uber order one less in the year for a home owner. Like wake up People put me in charge as a CEO and id actually do my job and turn a profit unlike fish bowl over there smiling on TV hey buddy why you smiling your a disgrace to CEOs everywhere id never hire you if I was a company loosing a billion $ and going on TV to talk what a joke you should be locked in the office trying to find ways to make money. I found 3 ways and I dont even get 1 percent of your salary and bonus.

  • Its July 2025 and CUPW and Canada Post are still have not agreed to conditions. How long is too long. CN CP DHL an many other union have settled. Government gave both parties time to make a deal. Both parties are no further along and will most likely never will agree. So a third party must step in and break the dead lock. That will have to be the government. Not good that it has come to this. Sad all around.

    • Govt is the problem CP has them fully in their back pocket, hence all the issues of them playing hardball. Why not lay off management during strikes?

      • Fire them with cause. The ultimate responsibility lays at the feet of the board of directors. They should be held accountable for the billions in losses.

  • cupw has take an emergency trip to cooooba where the execs will remain in exile unless a no vote occurs.

  • Just an Employee

I’m scared of what is written in the remaining 699 pages.
For one, Part timers will be stripped off at least equivalent to 2-days Personal days if the 6-days no carry-over is converted to hours.

    • This was always going to happen, no way they were going to have 2 different classes of personal leave. The union was too busy fighting for 10 extra days to think about this

      • Exactly, people only blaming CPC while CUPW has done nothing at all but make noise.. Oh and they’re one accomplishment in 1981, 44 years ago..😂

        • Cupw had 2 more fantastic accomplishments: the first was in 2001 when they gave away our severance packages, and the second in 2011 when they gave away our sicktime. Well done cupw! Mission accomplished!

  • Bob backwards is Bob

Like most of you I want these shanigsns to end now. I desire some stability and security so I can have some kind of life. Am I asking too much? Some will say Yes,some will say No.Some say get a life.

  • I don't trust Canada Post say people

Will SAP be fixed first or will Canada Post earn peoples trust and credibilty again. Hum ,tough one. Could go either way.

  • Gambling is a disorder just like working

Vegas has the BlueJays winning the Stanley Cup before the Toronto Maple Leafs period. It’s almost 75/25 split on the YES side winning the vote on the Cpc offer. And 100% the NO side objecting. I’m betting my union dues that the Bluejays win the Stanley Cup before the MapleLeafs.

  • Mgmt has no sense of humor, that they're aware of

I’m so confident Yes will win the vote,I’m already planning my next vacation , to the grocery store so I can buy my sliced bread from the clearance shelf. Oh boy.

    • When you lose your job because of Privatization you’ll be at food bank still complaining as well . No one cares

    • Manager Five-O

As is management. They already have their next Hawaii trip, on corporation dime, planned.

  • If I don’t make a comment ,will anybody realize I didn’t make a comment. And then answer by saying you just made a comment.

  • How people are named Anomymos

When i grow up I wanna be as smart as the executives at Cupw and Cpc. Yea you right. I stand a greater chance of winning the lottery.

    • Be smart, join CPC management. They get bonuses for losing billions with no accountability. But just one small thing. You cannot have a conscience.

  • Canada Post Accountant

So if Yes wins the vote, we get a 1% raise. In not greedy I’ll settle for half a percent every six months. If NO wins the vote , we get no raise im still not greedy I’ll settle for 0% every six months.

    • No vote also removes PRE-RETIREMENT and maximum annual leave.. So yeah let’s vote No and get nothing and let the union tell us what to do.. We’re Voting YES

  • Since Canada has two official languages Hockey and Tim Hortons ,does that mean I can vote YES and NO?

  • Thank you to everyone who comments. You give different perspectives on Cpc Cupw and your own belief system. You get an audience, some agree ,some disagree but never boring the entertainment value is priceless. Stay healthy ,be happy live the life please.

  • Take take take. CUPW oh so scary stopping overtime? Why ? It’s to get more dues from the poor terms Money greedy union. Oh well how much more to we have to lose ? YES vote is coming. CUPW your time has come. Bye 👋🏻

    • Say yes to the OT…no big deal . We can and have been saying yes to OT.

    • We’re voting on the CPC final offer. It has no effect on decertifying CUPW. A yes won’t get rid of CUPW, it will only saddle you with a crappy contract.

  • This is only the second time I’ve read these comments. And there is someone who keeps saying they are so indecisive about making a decision they re not sure which way to vote.im glad it’s not me. My only issue is not being sure about being indecisive.

  • Gurpreet Randhawa

Cpc Management board or Ceo should be fired if majority Vote no, such a incompetent leadership.

  • Gurpreet Randhawa

    No vote

  • WARNING: MASSIVE cuts are coming to the public service. If you think voting NO will get you something better, you may be wrong! Arbitration may not go as well as you think, and the govt may simply impose a contract on us like the govt threatened to do in 2011. And would you kool aid drinking commies stop claiming every yes vote is against cupw? Its getting tiresome. Members have the right to vote how they choose without your misinformation bs.

    • That’s true. I don’t think the government will be in the mood to hand out another billion to Canada Post. The CUPW groupies are delusional.

    • Different government, and there is precedent case law against imposing a contract. Don’t give in to CPC management’s fear mongering. I’ll go with the rational vote, no.

  • To: Upper management

I just wanted to thank for spending countless millions more wasted dollars on a failed upgrade launch of most of our previously working applications. I encourage you to spend countless more millions in an attempt to fix yet another mess of your own creation. And I know you will do the right thing and cut the benefits and wages of the clown posse responsible, instead of spending even FURTHER more millions in dollars on a sustained ad campaign, trying to convince me that I should have to pay for the never ending ineptitude of our glorious management team.
    Best wishes,
    Everyone.

    • serious the system was 25 years old and was a piece of crap. It will be a huge improvement once they eliminate the bugs. This is normal for any large company, just CUPW thinks we can do things the same way for 50 years and still be relevant.

  • I havent decided if I’m not gonna let my indecisiveness skills get in the way of either voting YES or NO.

  • Thank You Cpc and Cupw. Don’t always have to agree or disagree.. and no doubt in the future many some feelings will emerge as they have in the past. That’s fine sometimes that’s the best a relationship can be.

  • My station is well over 90 percent YES.

  • It’s gonna be 59% YES.

  • I will not call myself anomymos

    Actual raise
Year 1. 1% 5% was already paid earlier this year.
    Year 2. 3%
    Year 3. 2%
    Year 4. 2%
Wow. Chances are very good I won’t retire on these raises. However everything else is status quo. Nothing has been cut and that’s very good. In conclusion ,take what you can get cause it could be worse. I hope someone disagrees just for the he’ll of it.

  • Who’s the genius that wants us to update our password 4 times a year?

    • Maybe it’s just you? I’ve only had to update my password once. Everything seemed to work fine.

      • Passwords will be updated every 90 days….4 times a year..to access your employees self serve..or maybe it’s just you…

      • Maybe the first poster can read. Like where it says that passwords will be required to be changed every 90 days going forward. Of course, this won’t be necessary if the jokers running the asylum can’t get SAP to ever work again.

      • I’ve had to change mine 6 times and still doesn’t work

  • Why refuse to vote yes to this contract? You are a bigger fool than I thought.

    • The saying “a lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client” highlights the potential pitfalls of a lawyer acting as their own legal counsel. The worker who votes on this offer without consulting a lawyer or getting legal advise is a bigger fool.

  • I asked my girlfriend ,now wife to marry me 22 yrs ago and she said YES. I applied to the bank for a mortgage and they said YES. And YES I paid off my mortgage. So with all those YESES how can I vote NO. YES IT IS.

Sounds good sir. Paid your place off in under 25 years. Good job. I have worked hard and don’t have a victim complex. Yes it is

      • That’s true. The good workers who avoid CUPW as much as possible will vote ‘yes’. The whiney, negative CUPW groupies will vote ‘no’. We will see which side wins.

        • Absolutely Correct, the whiners, the lazy especially the PO4’S, the frequent STDP people and the uneducated will vote no so they can make money being CUPW supporter..

  • Understanding the offer: Your total compensation and benefits. 13 measly percent increase over 4 yrs, $1000 pre tax bribe to trick as many as possible to vote yes, cola payment triggers set so high that they will likely never come into play, no changes to anything else, we promise you can trust us. Oh and don’t worry your pretty little selves about the other 699 pages of the offer. Nothing to worry about it’s all good. Trust us. We love our employees. Trust us.

    • Exactly! Those that want to vote yes have absolutely no idea what they’re agreeing to. It’s embarrassing that they want to punish CUPW but will end up punishing themselves and all employees!

      • Both the union and the corporation are overdue for an overhaul. As for being a union paying member, this union has wasted millions of dollars on nothing but themselves. What about the members

        • The Union has wasted Billions.. Not Millions.. 1 accomplishment in 1981, which was 44 years ago, nothing since.. 😂 2 contracts in 60 years they’ve signed.. 5% success rate

    • I’ve worked at Canada Post a long time and it’s been mostly good. I feel like I’ve been treated fairly and those pay cheques have sure helped. The pension will also be great, I’m looking forward to retirement. I’m sorry you’ve had such a bad experience. Of course it’s not you, it’s them Lol.

      • Completely agree with your comment and will happily take my $1000. To all the upset cupw groupies that want to vote no, your strong beliefs won’t let you accept the signing bonus, so I will happily take those also. I will use e-transfer so you don’t lose my cheques in the mail.

      • You seem to forget that the Union got us the pension you’re waiting to take, if it doesn’t change in the near future.

    • In case you’re not aware, several other government collective agreements have already been negotiated, including:

Correctional Services – 3% per year over 5 years

Economic and Social Services – 3% per year over 4 years

Public Service Alliance – 5% increase as of September 1, 2024; further negotiations postponed until 2026

Professional Institute of the Public Service – 2%

What do all of these agreements have in common?
None of these sectors are competing with the private market.

Meanwhile, CUPW is receiving 6% in Yr1,+ additional increases over the next 4 years.

This raises the question: why are we seeing such disproportionate increases in a sector that is competing in a commercial environment?

  • I would love to trust this company, if it could just show me once, that it knew what it was doing.

Alas, SAP is down until further notice.

Does anyone, anywhere in this company, know what they are doing?

Called the pension number a few weeks ago, just out of curiosity…It’ll take them 5 months to process. 😂😂😂

    What a clown show

    • Obviously nobody does their job as well as you do. If only you were in charge of everything, Canada Post would have no problems. I’m amazed you can stand working here. Maybe you should quit and find something better:)

    • 🤡 your talking about CUPW. No doubt. Go if you’re so scared. This place can’t stay alive if they don’t change. Open your eyes. You’re probably one of those carriers that say ? Oh what a good day when there’s no mail no parcels no flyers. 😂. What a joke It’s a terrible situation. It’s going down fast bleeding money because they’re paying us full time for working part time. Sad 😔

  • Cpc obviously starting to sweat releasing this. More proof to vote NO

    • All the No are anonymous. The Yes vote use our name or nickname.

    • I think CUPW is sweating most of all. They’re releasing their ‘greatest hits’, highlighting what they did 40+ years ago. Too bad they’re not doing anything useful in 2025.

  • NOTHING WORKS IN THIS COMPANY!! 🥳🫣

SAP is down…but the failure of this company is NOT management, it’s the lowest worker coming back a little early

  • I’ll give a YES, if YOU agree that after a year if neither load levelling or dynamic routing works, the BOARD resigns.

    • By ‘BOARD’, do you mean the CUPW NEB. If that’s the case, I totally agree with you!

    • The CPC board of directors should have been fired with cause years ago. No need for anymore failed experiments from them.

  • If the execs get 30%, shouldn’t we all?

I’m fine with any changes to the delivery model, as I’m sure all LC’s are, just give us a raise and some respect. 24% is not outrageous

  • Say Yessssss

  • Vote yes to offer. I don’t trust this union.

  • Nothing new there. Still NO

  • Take this offer. We are in this mess because of the uneducated management through the years.
Cupw living in the 70’s and poor worker’s who cannot be fired and backed by Cupw.
The runner’s who don’t do all their mail, lunch breaks… endless disability of particular employees and training of new casuals who either don’t want to work certain shifts or at all. Watched this for too many years and here we are.
If we don’t say yes to change and being competitive and getting our volumes back, we will have no jobs. Management, union or us. So a yes vote will hopefully save this sinking ship.

  • Why don’t we all just spoil or refuse the vote?

Why be forced to do anything?

    • Because most of us want the company to flourish which is why we’ll vote yes.

CUPW doesn’t pay us, they just take and take.

      • Yes I do want the company to flourish, but what is the plan, other than job cuts?

We don’t flourish without business. I’m not sure how taking this offer helps that.

        • It doesn’t. Voting yes now also comes back to bite even more next time around

          • And by voting NO there wont be a next time!

          • Ok, question? Are you going to be around next time, or are you thinking of the other workers that will still be here? I’ve thought about this and union is protecting their last few years before retiring and next talks won’t matter to them! Also same for management as they just and a good bonus before leaving! Food for thought.

    • This offer isn’t perfect but the pros outweigh the cons. All workers with common sense know the company needs to change in order to be competitive. CUPW could have negotiated an agreement if they had accepted this, but they refused to compromise. I’m voting ‘yes’, and I hope the majority is with me. We’ll soon find out.

    • People who don’t vote automatically vote. Yes, that’s the way the votes will be counted..

    • Not forced. Sending a message to CPC management. Voting no.
